March 2021

This developer from Texas is proposing to build on a 20-acre site in the City of Carson, CA. 1,000 residential units, 150 room hotel and 15,000 square feet of retail.  The development is called Jefferson on Avalon.  Murchison Consulting is assisting with obtaining several discretionary approvals from Carson City Officials.


INTEGRAL COMMUNITIES

AUGUST 2021

This Newport Beach Developer is proposing to build 226 residential units on a vacant lot comprising of 20-acres.  The development is in Councilman Uranga's district, off Wardlow & Baker.

INTERSTATE OUTDOOR ADVERTISING

FALL 2020

Working with Interstate Outdoor Advertising Company to bring digital billboards to the downtown entertainment district in Long Beach.

SALVATION ARMY / OIL STANDARDS

2020

We are working on amending existing oil standards in Long Beach for the benefit of Salvation Army and other developments that have abandoned wells.

EMERALD CUP (Cannabis Special Events)

2021

We are working on amending the existing Cannabis ordinance to allow for Cannabis special events in certain parts of Long Beach.

Representing Verizon in an effort to gain approval of new cell towers providing 5G in Long Beach.

Summer 2021

Supporting the efforts to extend their lease with the City in an effort to continue to improve and satisfy our tourist attraction.

NEW HOTEL DEVELOPMENT

SUMMER 2021

This success will lead to the development of the largest and tallest hotel in Long Beach history.  Proposed location 100 East Ocean Blvd.  430 room hotel with 34 stories.

WHITE BUFFALO HOLDINGS, LLC.

2021

Obtaining a lease extension for 2801 Spring St. Long Beach, CA. 

Long Beach Airport Marriott

Assisting this local hotel and it's contractors with obtaining the necessary building permits for the remodel of over 200 guest rooms.

2020

We assisted in drafting two new agenda items to benefit rental property owners. 


1.  April 14, 2020

The CIty Council voted 9-0 to temporarily suspend the  PHRIP (Proactive Rental HousingInspection Program) inspection program and the collection of fees.

2.  April 21, 2020 

The emergency rental assistance program agenda item was passed 9-0.  This item provides temporary funding to tenants who must use it to pay their contractual rental obligations.

(2020 School Series Cancelled due to COVID-19)  April 10-11, 2019

We are excited to continue the Educational Series tradition this year, as we have done the past 10 years.   We have 8 schools identified to visit Wednesday & Thursday.   The schools are: Kettering, Prisk, Henry, John Muir, King, Barton, Westerly & Lincoln.

Murchison Consulting is proud to continue the Grand Prix Educational Series this past week.  Tracy went to 8 schools with over 3,000 students in total, with two GP Race Cars and two professional drivers to educate the kids on the Grand Prix, racing as a career, driving safety and to just have a good time!

The City awarded the IndyCar Series race, which is held on a street circuit in Long Beach, an additional five year contract to keep the race in Long Beach.
