When the Coronavirus Pandemic hit in March of 2020, Mike and Tracy went in to action to help support local businesses and raise money for children and seniors.
The first call to action was to support their beloved friend and Long Beach small business owner (Jeff from Bundts On Melrose) while bringing a smile to people during the initial "stay at home orders". Over a period of two weeks, Mike & Tracy purchased and delivered fifty (6-pack) boxes of Bundts to family and friends to cheer them up.
In May 2020, they came up with the idea to create "The Long Beach Challenge" in order to raise money for children, families and homebound seniors. They chose to partner with Meals on Wheels of Long Beach and the Long Beach Education Foundation and raised more than $87,000 in a matter of 2 months.
Each year, the couple works with the Long Beach Grand Prix to take a show car and professional driver to 8 Long Beach elementary schools to educate kids on driver safety as well as get them excited about the oldest street race which has been held in downtown Long Beach every year for over 40 years.
George & Mike Murchison were 2021 honorees of The Ronald McDonald House, "A Few Good Men" for their dedication and support within their community.
