As Founder and President of Murchison Consulting, Mike Murchison has over 30 years of experience in local politics. Mike has represented world-class engineering firms, developers, hotels, restaurant owners, and property management companies, along with an array of other industries.
In 2021, Mike's reputation and creativity allowed him to expand his client base to include a world-wide digital billboard company and world-class music festival promoter. These efforts have also allowed him to focus outside of his home town of Long Beach and build relationships throughout Southern California.
Born and raised in Long Beach, Mike has a special place in his heart for the city. He remains active in various city events and is a Trustee for the Bess Hodges Foundation and Clancy Foundation which allocate funds for various Long Beach Non Profit Organizations.
Mike is a proud USC Alumni, Los Angeles Rams fan and a member of Virginia Country Club where his wife challenges him on the golf course.
Tracy's involvement with Murchison Consulting is that of a CEO. "I am the Chief Everything Officer because I have the ability to handle just about everything when it comes to our business and home", says Tracy.
Tracy's career in Marketing and Sales has been a nice addition to Mike's business. She works hand in hand with Mike to support all the efforts that go in to every successful project.
Tracy is a CSU Chico Alumni and had a very successful career in the Apparel Industry. In addition to managing and supporting Murchison Consulting, Tracy loves to golf, spend time with family & friends and give her time to make others happy.
When the Coronavirus Pandemic hit in March of 2020, Mike and Tracy went in to action to help support local businesses and raise money for children and seniors.
The first call to action was to support their beloved friend and Long Beach small business owner (Jeff from Bundts On Melrose) while bringing a smile to people during the initial "stay at home orders". Over a period of two weeks, Mike & Tracy purchased and delivered fifty (6-pack) boxes of Bundts to family and friends to cheer them up.
In May 2020, they came up with the idea to create "The Long Beach Challenge" in order to raise money for children, families and homebound seniors. They chose to partner with Meals on Wheels of Long Beach and the Long Beach Education Foundation and raised more than $87,000 in a matter of 2 months.
Each year, the couple works with the Long Beach Grand Prix to take a show car and professional driver to 8 Long Beach elementary schools to educate kids on driver safety as well as get them excited about the oldest street race which has been held in downtown Long Beach every year for over 40 years.
George & Mike Murchison were 2021 honorees of The Ronald McDonald House, "A Few Good Men" for their dedication and support within their community.
