With over 30 years of experience in local politics, Mike Murchison has built a reputation as a trusted advisor and strategic advocate for a wide range of industries. As Founder and President of Murchison Consulting, he has represented world-class engineering firms, developers, hotels, restaurant owners, property management companies, and many others.

In 2021, Mike’s creativity and credibility opened new doors, expanding his client portfolio to include a global digital billboard company and a premier music festival promoter. These partnerships have enabled him to extend his reach beyond his hometown of Long Beach, forging strong relationships throughout Southern California and neighboring states.

Born and raised in Long Beach, Mike remains deeply connected to the community. He actively participates in city events and serves as a Trustee for both the Bess Hodges Foundation and the Clancy Foundation, which support a variety of local nonprofit organizations.

A proud USC alumnus and devoted Los Angeles Rams fan, Mike is also a member of Virginia Country Club—where his wife keeps him on his toes out on the golf course and the pickleball courts.

With a strong background in Marketing and Sales, her contributions have added a dynamic edge to the firm’s operations and client engagement.

Tracy works closely with Mike to ensure every project runs smoothly—from strategy to execution. Her collaborative spirit and attention to detail help drive the success of each initiative.

A proud CSU Chico alumna, Tracy built a thriving career in the Apparel Industry before joining Murchison Consulting. Outside of work, she enjoys golfing, playing pickleball, spending quality time with family and friends, and dedicating her free time to helping others.

When the Coronavirus pandemic struck in March 2020, Mike and Tracy Murchison sprang into action to support their Long Beach community. Their first initiative was a personal and uplifting gesture—purchasing and delivering fifty 6-pack boxes of Bundts from their dear friend Jeff, owner of Bundts On Melrose, to family and friends during the initial stay-at-home orders. It was a small act with a big impact, aimed at spreading joy and supporting a beloved local business.

In May 2020, they launched The Long Beach Challenge, a grassroots fundraising campaign to benefit children, families, and homebound seniors. Partnering with Meals on Wheels of Long Beach and the Long Beach Education Foundation, the campaign raised over $87,000 in just two months, demonstrating the power of community and compassion.

Their commitment to youth education continues each year through a partnership with the Long Beach Grand Prix. Mike and Tracy coordinate visits to eight Long Beach elementary schools, bringing a show car and professional driver to teach kids about driver safety and spark excitement for the city’s iconic street race—held annually for over 50 years.

In recognition of their ongoing dedication, George and Mike Murchison were honored in 2021 by The Ronald McDonald House as part of the “A Few Good Men” celebration, acknowledging their meaningful contributions to the community.
